My first position after graduation was to cook for a week for some members of the Royal Family. This was a daunting task, in which I quickly decided I would either sink or swim. After treading water for a while I managed to swim!!
After this task nothing seemed impossible.
Over the next few years I set about gaining as much experience in different fields of the catering industry as possible.
I have cooked on Yachts, Aeroplanes, built catering kitchens in the most bizarre places to feed hundreds of people, done a ski season or two. Plus the usual hunting, shooting, fishing weekends. Cooked at a school feeding lots of hungry boys on a tight budget.
So after returning to my native Herefordshire I have taken the plunge and set up my own small scale catering business.
I love cooking and love to pass on my skills and ideas onto others to build upon.
To me cooking is all about being confident in what you do. Anybody can cook but you have to have the confidence to believe what you are doing will work! (If it doesn’t we quickly rename it or admit defeat)!
